THE QUIZ
1. Even when playing a casual board game, I find myself becoming very competitive.
2. Being the "first" to do something is important to me. When I was in school I
would always try to be the first in line and first to finish my exams.
3. I enjoy competition, and I prefer physical sports over intellectual sports.
4. I love starting new projects. Even though I always do my best, I am much more likely to start a project than I am to finish it.
5. It has been my experience (at work and at school) that when my peers and I face a difficult situation everyone tends to rally around me -- as if I have all the answers!
6. When playing sports, I wear out my teammates with my enthusiasm. They don't think of me as just another player, but as a cheerleader too!
7. If the impossible task of convincing a group of people with severe nut-allergies
of the virtues of peanut butter sandwiches ever came up, I would be perfect for the job.
8. I have a long list of things I want to do someday (skydiving, hot-air ballooning, playing a saxophone, learning to sew) just because I have never done them before.
9. People misunderstand my confidence for arrogance.
10. If a fight were breaking out in a bar, I would jump in to try to help out (assuming the fight wasn't between professional linebackers).
11. I have never refused to try a food just because I have never had it
before. I love to try anything new that I can get my hands on!
12. My friends have commented several times that I can be too blunt when I am making my points in a conversation or argument. I sometimes hurt their feelings, but I don't mean to.
13. Work is extremely important to me, but my free-time is equally important.
14. On the weekends, I prefer to do keep a busy schedule and have several activities rather than just sitting around or relaxing.
15. At work, if I think I have a good idea for a project, I do not hesitate to present it to my superior.
16. I get tired of people telling me to "calm down."
17. I find that in most competitions, no matter what kind of competition it is, I win.
18. When I decide I want to do something, I throw all of my energy into it. Sometimes, I step back before what I started gets finished, but I never do this because the endeavor has failed. I only do it if the project is in someone else's capable hands or if something more important has come up.
19. I feel I am an independent person. I do not rely on others in my personal or my professional life.
20. With any project at work I get involved with, I always keep my own best
interests in the back of my mind. I will not spend too much time on something that does not benefit me in some way.
Your score: Every tally mark you made has a value of five percent. For example, if you felt that 15 of the above statements sounded like something you would say, you would have a score of (15 x 5) 75%. The interpretation: 75% of your personality characteristics fall in line with a typical Aries.
What is a "typical" Aries personality?
Aries (born March 21-April 20) are the first sign of the zodiac. They are quite confident in their own abilities (almost cocky some would say). Aries is a natural born leader that always finds people that seek answers from him. Fortunately, Aries (with his magnetic personality) is no reluctant leader. Aries enjoys being the first in everything he does - from being the first one on the block to have a jacuzzi installed on his backporch, to being the first one of his friends to read a book. Aries also wants his accomplishments to be firsts: the first to come up with a solution to a problem at work, the first to invent a new product etc. It is perhaps with this drive to be first that Aries often starts projects, but less often finishes them. He tends to be impulsive and energetic when he gets an idea in his head.
